Easier for Kentucky Genealogists
Our 6 websites have a "New Look". Essentially, we have added a Login Menu. This menu makes it possible to login to any of the genealogy websites from one area. Also, the Login Menu is on the top far-left corner of the Library page for each individual website. This will make it easier to switch websites. We are still growing!

Find KY Families on Internet
During these recession years anytime that you can save some bucks by using the Internet, this is wise. Trips to archives, court houses and libraries quickly adds up in gasoline, cost of photocopies, lunch, etc. A trip from Atlanta to the Georgia State Archives today costs me about $30 and valuable time. Lots of genealogy can be gleaned from some genealogy pay websites for a small fee and you can have access for a year! Here are some suggestions:

Wills are important to Genealogy Researchers
Ideally. we should locate a copy of our ancestor's original last will and testament to see what he had to say That is, who got the homeplace or plantation, where it was located, and the inventory taken of the estate. However, most old originals are lost. Therefore, we have to rely upon the clerk's (of the county where the will was probated) entry of the will in his own handwriting. The wills for the State of Georgia are being digitized and put online at Georgia Pioneers To see what each county has available, click on one of the counties on the left hand side of the page. Also, Virginia Pioneers is adding digital copies of old wills.
